All I Gotta Say Is

Know your damn worth. I don’t know what it is these days, but there always seems to be that one person in the relationship who doesn’t appreciate the goodness in the other. Don’t get it twisted, I’m not perfect. But I know damn straight I’m a good person. I’m a damn good friend. I’m a damn good boyfriend. How much do you expect from me? I do the best that I can with the limited shiet that have at my disposal. I treat you the way I treat everyone: the way I want to be treated. 

I’m faithful so don’t ever think I will do you wrong behind your back.

I’m reliable so don’t think I’ll flake on you for no reason or leave you when you need me the most.

I’m respectful so know I’ll talk to you and your family with kindness and etiquette. 

I’m understanding so I won’t blow up on you nor will I hate you for not agreeing with me. And I realize you’re not perfect yourself.

I put aside my assumptions and predispositions to hear you out every time.

I make time to see you each week.

I talk to you everyday just to see how you are and if you’re okay.

I truly think of you all the time.

I’m proud to be with you.

Who can honestly say they feel that way? And if you didn’t see any of that in me - then you didn’t get to know me at all now did you? Don’t ever make me feel as though I’m not good enough or useless. Cause I know damn well I’m more than enough.
